Master your close ball control and and find your inner Brazilian with the new skill focused ‘Futsal’ sessions in Hull.
The sessions run every Monday night 6:45-8:15pm at Latus Training, Chanterlands Ave Hull, at just £1 per session, which are proving to be very popular.
The game of Futsal is similar to 5-a-side where the game takes places on a hard surface, however in Futsal a smaller ball is used and the pitch is delimited by lines. Chris Johnson of the East Riding FA , who helps run the sessions believes Futsal, apposed to traditional Football, helps you focus more on other aspects like close control and skill, developing you as a footballer.
The game is less physical, however with it still being fast paced the sessions help you build on the technical side of the game, it helps you build on touch, short passing, creativity and technique. The sessions are open to anyone aged 16-21 of any ability as it encourages developing personal skills a long with team work.
The sessions take place in a friendly, relaxed environment with background music to add to the atmosphere. Chris also added ‘each kick about is very laid back with participation the focus, rather than winning or losing’.
It is supported by the Football Associations Just Play recreational football programme and you will learn new skills, develop your ability and have a great time playing a style of football that may teach you a thing or two. So why not give it a try?
