Sunday saw thousands of people take part in the Yorkshire Marathon 2016 to raise money and awareness for charity.
On a glorious day in York, Triple Gold Medallist Paralympic Wheelchair Racer, Hannah Cockroft helped get the event underway alongside Ray Matthews, who at the age of 75, ran 75 marathons, in 75 days earlier this year.

There was fine and proud spirits all around!
Charities were also set up in order to help contestants and raise awareness. The day was spent under a positive, friendly atmosphere where fans, families, charities, runner and more all got behind each other, cheering each other on. All for a great, meaningful cause.
