150 holes in one day in memory of Josh Fell

Written by

After smashing 100 holes in one day in 2015, local golf enthusiasts Leigh Gawley and Joe Palmer took it upon themselves to go that step further and raise it to 150 holes!

The kind hearted pair are raising money for Cardiac Arrest in the Young [CRY] and in particular, the memory of young Josh Fell, who was tragically taken away from us at just 15, a young fit healthy man with his whole life ahead of him.

So when SMO saw the challenge the boys had laid down to themselves, we thought it only right we lend our support.

We started on round 5 with them at lunch; Thats’ right, they’d completed 4 full rounds by 11:30am and looked in fine spirits. With a few aching limbs, sores and fatigue kicking in, reaching into the boot of his car for a change of shirt and 3 bananas, Leigh said “Right, let’s go again!”.

This act of excellent endurance, kindness and commitment to raising money for CRY and in memory of Josh and his family is one of real passion; These are 2 men who love their sport and love making a difference.

We’ve made a short video [above] of our time with them and if you’d like to show your support, you can go to the Just Giving page here – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Joshfellhornsea150
