Hall Road will travel the short distance over the bridge to meet head to head with another set of Rangers on Saturday afternoon as they take on Winterton at West Street. Both sides have started the season brightly and are undefeated going into weekend number two of the new season.
It was honours even last season in both home and away fixtures as both ended in 1-1 draws between the two sides. Hall Road Rangers finished one place above Winterton in the table with just goal difference the separation.
Having watched Winterton midweek in their 4-1 win over Yorkshire Amateurs Dave Ricardo was optimistic about the clash “Saturdays game away at Winterton brings many similarities in terms of players & management having represented both clubs, same playing colours and two sets of committees and Chairman who have the best interests of their clubs at heart.”
“On a personally level having played at Winterton for many years I always enjoy going back to see old friendly faces and on Saturday pitting my wits against an old friend and colleague Lee Hastings.”
“The players having trained twice this week are ready for the game and after Assistant Manager Billy Gill, Captain Ash Dexter, striker Chris Spinks and myself went over the bridge to watch Winterton on Wednesday night I am confident we have a game plan in mind to get the three points.”
“Have no doubts this will not be an easy fixture, the guys will have to work hard and maintain a high level of quality in order break Winterton down however I saw enough areas in which to open them up”
Kick off will be 3pm at Winterton.
