Sporting success for St Mary’s College students in Swimming, football and running.

Maddy Tait, Michael Hill and Hannah Bird all had great swims as Kingston Swimming club held their A/B meet at Ennerdale leisure centre. The gala produced a number of records, including many PB’s and saw a mass number of medals handed out.

Maddy Tait, 15, had a brilliant weekend taking the 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle golds in PBs and a PB silver in the 100m backstroke, plus et PBs in the 200m backstroke, 50m fly, 100m breaststroke and 50m freestyle.

Michael Hill, 15 impressed with a six-second PB in the 400m freestyle, took silver in the 50m freestyle and 200m IM and bronze in the 200m freestyle.

Hannah Bird,14 and returning from injury, competed in the 50m breaststroke, 50m and 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle.

Mille Abbott experienced success as Mill Lane Eagles U16s clinched the girls Plate final after a penalty shoot out with Hessle Town.

In athletics Katy Greenacre ran a PB of 5:45:97 in the 1500m finishing 5th in the A race.
